Future Together Now
The Future Together Now program aims to reduce social tensions between Lebanese and Syrian families living around Bar Elias, by helping local residents tackle problems they face in their everyday lives.
The program involves an extensive training course, with modules including conflict transformation, dialogue, negotiation and mediation, community empowerment, team-building, self-care and personal security. These trainees then enroll volunteers to form a 'workgroup', with members of all communities, whose aim it is to find practical and innovative solutions to pressing local concerns.
This program as a whole aims to bring communities into a shared space, and give them the practical training and tools they need to address important local issues together
