Abu Samra


Akkar is a county boarding Syria in the northern part of Lebanon; it covers an area of 788 km². Due to many historical reasons, huge parts population in Akkar has been neglected, and is suffering from poverty.

Today Akkar hosts a titanic number of Syrian refugees who are lacking access to many of the basic essential needs.

Basmah and Zeitooneh’s center in Akkar has recently open and is aiming to help carry out the community approach of Basmeh and Zeitooneh to the Syrian refugees and the locals of Akkar.
